Ray possesses a bachelor of science in biochemistry and molecular biology and a minor in computer science from the University of California, Davis, over a decade of solo/collaborative performing experience with the piano, keyboard instruments, drum kit, and guitar, and an extensive background in multimedia production, music production, front-end and full-stack development, and the natural sciences.
